Taco Poutine

A handful of fries - cooked, however you like them

A handful of cheese curds - we use Squeak'rs Montreal cheese curds (yum!!)

Nacho Cheese Sauce - or queso sauce

1/2 lb cooked Taco meat

1-2 Tbsp salsa

1-2 Tbsp sour cream

This is a super easy, super yummy recipe and it is super adaptable. You can easily add items or swap out items you don't like and replace with ingredients you love. Add avocado and ranch dressing and call it Frankie's Fabulous Fiesta Fries if you want. The sky is the limit.

 

Cook those fries however you like them. We like them super crispy so we deep fried and we use crinkle cut because they hold all the saucy stuff better, but use whatever fries you want. I would not use shoestring, but that's just me... put on a plate.

 

Take a handful of cheese curds - now you can cube up some mozza if you like, but real poutine uses Montreal cheese curds (we like Squeak'rs, but that's just us), sprinkle around, you can add more fries on top so they melt, or better yet, have the cheese sauce ready to put on top and soften the cheese curds that way.

Nacho Cheese Sauce - you can use the store bought queso sauce if that's your jam, or if you don't mind 5 minutes of work for a much better taste, you can make our Nacho Cheese Sauce. You have 2 options with OUR Nacho Cheese Sauce... you can use processed cheese slices which will make the sauce more silky and smooth, or we use real marble cheese (never use pre-shredded cheese as it contains wood pulp - cellulose fiber), but it can make the sauce grainy. The flavour of real cheese is best and with all the stuff going on, you won't even notice if it is grainy or not.

For the Taco Meat, cook the hamburger add water (half to one cup) to the meat, sprinkle desired amount of Cranky Jimmy's Taco Mix, and once thickened add to the fries.

Add a dollop of salsa

​

Add a dollop of sour cream

​

Dig in!
